The Way To A Successful Affiliate Marketing

There are hundreds and thousands of affiliate marketing programs out there in the web.
All of them claim to be the very best of the best.
Many gave you the impression that all you have to do is, show what they’re selling through their banners, sit back and relax. This scenario normally would only work for larger site that has a whole lot of web traffic.

Picking Your Banner

When you select any graphical intense advertising. Do try to keep it in check with the theme of your website. Graphical ads are meant to stand out and catch attention but don’t let them get to the point where everything else on the page is ignored.

Do remember to keep the size of your banners small. You wouldn’t want a banner that’s taking too much time to load which will lead to chasing off your web traffic.

Plain Text Link Ads

It’s simple and easy and it’s proven to be one of the most successful means of advertising. Easy on bandwidth, they don’t use too much of a space and they could be implemented into most types of page layout. Good text links offers information and recommends your visitor to visit the offers.

Pop Ups And Under

There’s a whole lot of companies out there that provide their affiliates with pop up or pop under ads. Pop ups was once the hype of advertising but it was never a favorite for the viewers. They easily annoyed visitors and are normally closed before they even have the chance to load. Go instead for the pop under and those which only display once per visit.

Email Advertising

The direct mail advertising of the web. Being able to add a personal touch to it, email advertising has always been proven effective. Although over the years email advertising has brought along tons of spam with it. If you plan on using email advertising, you should be available to answer any doubts that arise and be confident of what you’re selling.

Be Patience

Feeling confident? That your site could generate great sales for a certain company? Try contacting them and negotiate an arrangement. If they don’t seem to be able to compromise with it, be patience. Companies are approached everyday with affiliates looking to make better deals.

Most affiliates can’t deliver what they promise, and companies are fully aware of this.

Always be aware, that most forms of advertising will take time. It doesn’t matter which methods you pick, give it some time before you make a conclusion. It doesn’t always happen overnight, but it could very well be in a few days or weeks.

With these in mind, you're soon on your way to a successful affiliate marketing.

What To Expect From Affiliate Marketing

Do not assume affiliate marketing is a get rich scheme.
Never assume it, don’t think about it as a get rich scheme.

Too many people out there assume that affiliate marketing is actually a get rich program. Put up a few banners, then hope that money comes rolling in. Towards the end they wonder why they never earn a sale, or not making any money.

Face it, the truth is 90% of affiliate marketers earns less than $100 for a month. Therefore you shouldn’t count on making full time income as affiliate marketer unless you’re very good at with the following.

1. Building a great site that converts

2. Maxing out Search engine optimization (SEO) Getting lots of traffic.
The more traffic you have the more chances you have of someone buying your products. Good SEO will help you get your site on search engines therefore more people will be able to find you.

3. The trial and error of picking the right merchants and learning the correct ways of promoting.

Now you’re asking, how long does it take to make money? It depends on how much you want to make. If you are a quick learner and a really good affiliate marketer. You might reach 2000 within 2 years. This is based on that you’re not working full time as a affiliate marketer, you still have a full time job and not forgetting you started from ZERO.

The hardest most demoralizing part about affiliate marketing will be the first few months. You checked your stats you might see yourselves only making a few bucks. And you’ll start thinking whether all that hard work does pay? No worries, if you’ve made some sale stay committed to that hard work. The money will start rolling in. Don’t forget the 20 / 80 rule. If you’ve manage to infiltrate 20% of the market, soon enough the next 80% will follow in.

Now you’ve got the traffic. Comes and goes through your site. Now you might start to wonder why you’ve got a lot of traffic passing through your site but the conversion rate ain’t that good yet.

The key here is knowing your visitors needs and answering them. Determine which affiliate programs you could offer to meet their needs. There is also the concept of presale which is the ability to put your visitors in a required state of open mind set which will encourage them to actually click on what you’re selling.

Never give up in affiliate marketing. Stick with it, you’ll learn more and more over the years. Don’t expect to be the best when you’ve just started. It takes a whole lot of time, hard work and dedication. Not forgetting determination. By putting the time and effort into your programs, you’re actually laying a path for yourselves to a profitable and amazing world of affiliate marketing.

Cheers

The Importance Of a Niche

I'll like to touch on niche today.

What are the mistakes we are doing nowadays?

"Jack Of All Trades, Master Of Non"

We've seen dozens of ideas on the web, people selling, people providing. People whom failed in the process.

What's the reason behind that?

Now let us take a look on the big names for a bit. Let's take a look at Kentucky Fried Chicken, KFC.
What do they specialize in? Chickens.

Every time when someone mentions KFC, the first thought in our mind is chicken, fried chicken to be precise. With their secret blend of '11 herbs and spices'.

Now let's take a look at Pizza Hut. What do we get? Pizzas, tomato sauce, with their stretchy cheese stretching out as you take a bite. Not forgetting the chunks of meat on it. Or for some their salted anchovies.

With this 2 major brand names. I guess you could roughly get an idea. When you wanna have fried chickens for dinner where would you go? Or if you felt like having pizza for the party you're having who would you call?

Now let's bookmark that thought for a bit.

About marketing. If you want answers for a dog training (I've notice lots of marketers love to take dog training as an example) you wouldn't go looking in a cat training website. Would you?

Even worse... Would you sell cat food on a dog training website? Try selling birth control pills on a gaming website. I dare to say you won't get results.

A niche is important in marketing and advertising.

Now let's get down to copywriting.

If you're a dog lover and you're visiting a dog's lover site. Would you be happy if I write to you about the benefits of having a cat? For all we know you might a cat hater and at the first phrase your eyes catch upon me saying I LOVE CATS, you might just close the site.

"The importance of a niche" is like placing a child in a room full of toys, a female in a room full of branded clothings, a sport fanatic in a room full of sports related stuffs and a bookworm in a room full of books.

By placing the right person in the right room, you'll get more interactions. More impressions on your ads. More clicks on your banners, more read through your articles. And of course more moolahs for you.

Next post, we'll go through the importance of Micro Niche.
Yes, at the next post we'll be downsizing.

Cheers.

What makes affiliate marketing attractive?

Affiliate marketing involves you, working as an affiliate for a merchant or company. You sell either goods or services and you’re paid on how much you produce. There are no costs and no risk. You put in what you choose and are rewarded accordingly.

Running an affiliate marketing business is challenging. You’ll have to work very hard to build it up. However, you’ll be rewarded for your hard work not someone else. Getting an affiliate marketing program going may seem difficult. The truth is it is down to you and how much you’re willing to put in. There is no sure fire way to success but there are some good tips that you can follow to make you affiliate marketing business as successful as possible.

There are literally thousands of programs for you to choose from. However, it is advisable to get started with something which you are familiar with. It doesn’t matter if the product or service isn’t the killer in the current market or it’s the product that will ensure you to be an instant millionaire. Starting with something you’re familiar with will make you more confident and sincere in the product or service.

This will also help when it comes to creating your site. Something familiar will allow you to be more personal and creative. Try creating a site with something you are not sure of, it will surely soon be boring and tedious.

Remember that, in the world of affiliate marketing there is no such thing as the perfect program. Any particular program will be stuffed full of varying testimonials. Some will be great and some might not have done so well. You need to decide for yourself and not be put off by a few bad experiences. In the end it all comes down to you, and how much you are willing to work on it.

Affiliate marketing is a great way to start a business, make money and work for you. The risk to you is at a minimal and there is no start up cost. There are many great affiliate marketing programs out there and choosing the right one may seem like a daunting task. When you first start out remember to stick to what you’re familiar with. Find something you know about and have an interest in. Make your site attractive to others. Last but not least remember that there is no perfect program. Some will have achieved success where others might have fallen. It is all down to you. Never give up.
